Photographer and conservationist Florian Schulz has spent more than 25 years capturing stunning images of Earth’s most beautiful places and working to protect them. His photography brings the wild side of our extraordinary planet to his audiences, letting them experience moments few people have ever seen—one of which appears in the entrance to our store.

Join us on March 19 at 630pm for an evening with Florian, as he presents a slideshow of his work, discusses his history as a conservationist, and shares inspiring stories and hope for our climate’s future. Read on for more details:

His multi-year quest to document the Arctic took photographer Florian Schulz to the ends of the Earth. He camped for weeks in jarring winter conditions, accompanied traditional Inuit hunters and sailed the arctic waters, all to get an intimate look at life in the Arctic. There, he tracked families of polar bears, followed the vast caribou herds, and captured the Northern Lights in stunning detail. Through breathtaking imagery, the National Geographic photographer takes audiences on a legendary journey into the Arctic kingdom— with a special focus on the Arctic Refuge, one of the world's last great wilderness where hundreds of thousands of caribou roam the plains, where myriads of birds migrate to rear their chicks and where the kingdoms of grizzly and polar bears meet. It is America’s vast Arctic, far removed from the rest of the world, but at the mercy of today’s politics.
